Life Lately : Busy Working, Teaching English, and Seeking the Lord

February 19th, 2025

I’m trying to figure out how to add pictures to this post right now, and the idea of designing …. or redesigning the whole layout and design of my site here- is pressing here on me. I am living here in a noisy, pretty obnoxious, or otherwise just highly-populated portion, a little slice here of Madrid, Spain.

I moved to Cuatro Caminos where I’m here living in a studio space and my front door goes right into the sidewalk of a usually crowded street. I literally had to stand in front of my front door earlier while I was in the middle of making dinner because some guy and girl couple were talking right into my front door. I stood there… and waiting until they moved on, they were just talking in french about what, I have no idea… I just thought they should know someone was hearing everything they were saying whether they wanted them to, or not. Do I feel bad? No, just a little, nothing really, and they were speaking in french.

So I was working at a Colegio (private comprehensive school) in Barajas, a private school that’s in a neighborhood right next to the Madrid Intl Airport. I was commuting about 45-50 minutes everyday, though I was making a nice monthly salary, for this school year ongoing right now. I was let go though, surprised was me, bizarrely weird reason that somehow me taking too much fruit from the cafeteria was enough to be a fire, or relieve me, from my position there.

I digress, because I am now and have since been working to fill my schedule with English lessons. All of this working has really made me think about the reality of career growth and a work-for-yourself culture that seems to be lurking around me. Also my birthday was last Friday… same day, every year, February 14th. 🙂 😉

I really love teaching English and I am believing, in love to be of increasing use, for the Lord. For my passion for teaching – to really be set on teaching the Bible, and loving people well. #ministry #evangelize #Gospel #HolySpirit

Still, I pray, and I am believing on growing and drawing closer, in a higher degree, to be ever closer to the LORD. I want to put my faith first. I want to be a pleasing, living, and walking sacrifice for the Lord and for Him to get and receive the glory.

Walking with the Lord, what is this life all about when we are completely given over and surrendered to the life of Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit that is the living-breathing God of all things, ever and forever. Jesus! Wow. Jesus is this good, He is that good, He is even better. Amazing. Thank You Lord.

Everything else comes to His feet, everything else rests at His awe. Power, the Lord is the power, everything else…. what more, Jesus is calling! Jesus IS calling, Hallelujah.

So sharing a bit here, a word, too. Thank You Jesus.

Colossians 3, in a little more than half of the chapter.
:
Colossians 3

Living as Those Made Alive in Christ

1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.

6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. 7 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. 8 But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. 9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. 11 Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
