Sharing here, Matthew 5:14-16 MSG 25-11-24

Monday night

I am about to start making dinner, “cenar”, and the time is around 8pm. I have been reflecting over an old journal, I have not even finished it yet… I am finding a lot of past writings. I found that sometime around January 18th of this year… 2024, nearly a whole year ago, I was journaling about Sustaining Opportunities and I wrote out this version and scripture of Matthew 5:14.

Matthew 5:14 is an important verse for me; what I find to be often called, a life verse, the passage speaks to me and offers me an instant and profound, complete connection to the Lord. I read purpose, I find meaning in the word.

Considering too the version here, The Message is a great iteration or what is normally called, a version, of the Bible into the the English language.

Matthew 5:14-16

“14-16 Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.”

Inspiration, innate value and insight, a literal message to the masses. Constant, Present, Open, Not a Secret…! Jesus loves us too much to hide His message and word, His actions, His life.

Finding and praying for others and for the word to share and be shared, given, and known for you. For all, God’s life conquering death. Thankful in this season and time, and thankful for all the time. Timely and Timeless,

God is always on time, and if we look, we may see Him! He is there waiting on us.
